The Blacktail deer here in Solano County Ca. are now in rut. Even the Doe's are fighting. The Buck is very unique with eye guards and brow tines plus many stickers. After getting the first picture of him I bought more cameras and now have 7 in the field. We are now seeing all of what is out behind the house. Just this morning upon viewing the SD cards I found the Big Buck has been fighting and lost his whole left antler. The search is now on to find it.

I have put my Cuddeback cameras on many trails on our farm. This year I found a tree in just the right spot on a major trail leading our pond. These are a couple of the nice bulls moose I got pictures of during rut.

This guy has been in my area all fall. Virtually all of his previous photo-ops have been nocturnal. But the rut is just around the corner here, so hoping for an in person daytime meeting soon.

We have an unusual buck this season. It appears this buck has an abnormality in antler growth, and that he may have a third beam just off center on his head. He has become known as Unicorn.

A black bear knocked the camera off the tree and it landed with the lens up. The third picture is of a deer from the ground looking up.
