The deer had lost his left rear hoof and it was during last winter. Not pointing fingers however Trapping season was in. It could have been from getting into barbed wire fence as well no body knows, something pulled or broke off around 3 of leg. The weather had also been at freezing for a few days.

I have a photo of this buck every year for the last five. he has always been a nine point with a small crab claw on his front left. This year he's a big 11 with the identical crab claw on the left front.

Decent sized bear with a beautiful hide. Harvested him a week after the Cudde picture. Will make a great rug as well as furnish many memories.
