Now that the weathers nice, and I have the windows open, I've been hearing some strange sounds in the backyard late at night. I set up one of my cameras under the bird feeders to see if I could find out what was responsible. I captured this photo of a opossum telling a raccoon who's the boss of my back yard. They must have worked things out because they were both under the feeder in subsequent pictures

The deer have really had a big antler growth spurt over the last week. My kids and I really enjoy getting into the woods and spending quality time together every Sunday to check the camera and see what we have captured on our SD card. It has really help start the excitement of nature in both of my kids and an appreciation for the great outdoors. The only down side is having to fight back “buck fever†for another 5 months, lol!

Missouri turkey season closes daily at 1:00. This ole gobbler decided to put on a show just minutes after season closed for the spring season.

Can you say cuteness overload? I had no idea that I would get photos like these. These pups are going to be a handful for the mother.

This location is outside our hunting camp window. This moose has been visiting our salt block for the last 5 years. She usually has 2 fawns in the spring and brings them around also. This day she took a little more than a half hour nap. She also attracts the occasional bull and wolf.
