I had to look at this picture twice and enlarge it to realize why the Ruffed Grouse had his head turned so far to the right, its a little hard to see but to the right of the Grouse fantail and at the end of the log you can make out a gray squirrel, I guess the Grouse didn't want to give up the log.

When I got this picture, I was admiring the Tom before he went up to roost, and did not even realize the deer looking at him. I thought to myself what a great way to show the change of seasons.

I used Cuddeback cameras to hone in on a mature buck’s home location. Without Cuddeback’s wireless Cuddelink technology, I wouldn’t have been able to keep my scent out of the woods in a location where lack of cell service prevented the use of other cellular cameras. I watched this buck from July - October and was able to harvest him on my first sit. The last photo was 1 minute before my Mathews bow sent the arrow that would end the chase for this majestic 5.5 year old mountain buck.
