Photo was taken on one of the few sunny days we had in December. This is the first I new the deer was in the area. The buck was with a doe and was around for a half hour before the doe left. The photo was taken a little after 1:00 in the afternoon. I hunted the same spot that evening with my crossbow and shot and recovered the buck about 5:30. He is a perfect eight point.

This is a waterhole that had been an absolute Giver over the past several years. We have regularly filled 3 or more archery cow elk tags each year here and my friend's wife arrowed a monster bull out of this blind. Doing some pre-season, camera scouting for my bull tag this past year, we found that there was very little elk sign around this honey-hole and no elk visiting our camera. We couldn't figure out why, until this breeding pair was caught cruising through. Imagine hiking in to check the camera, this is the last one you check, as you're trying to get it done before dark, your head is down, viewing photos from the card. It's is earily quiet around the waterhole, as you have never seen ot before, and then you find out why.

We just started using Cuddelink Cameras in November. I love being able to check one camera, and get pics from the whole property. I have the home camera posted on a scrape that shows up every year just south of my Godfather's house. The house is in the background. It has bee our most active camera this year, but this sequence of pics with bucks sparring is my favorite so far. There are actually 6 pics in the sequence, but these are my 3 favorites!

This was just a close up of the 14 point that I have been hunting a few years. Really hard hunting this year. Been in the woods more than at work the season. He's a beast for Southern Arkansas. Hope to have a picture of him in the back of my truck in a few days.

Been chasing the same buck for several years. Watching him grow has just been breathtaking. He is still young but he has made it to a 14 point. Don't see too many like this is Southern Arkansas. Hoping I can't have the opportunity to take him during the Christmas hunt.
