In the past few years I've started to get bobcat pictures - never had them before and I've had trail cameras since they were invented. This I believe is a kitten, probably born later last year. Except for some distinctive markings and the bob tail, it could easily be mistaken for a house cat.

I put a tree in a food plot in the fall for the deer to use as a licking branch. For the second year in a row the bears have been using the tree to mark their territory.

I created a mock scrape with a licking branch hung from a rope between two trees and it's been a great location to set a camera on. It certainly brings them in to investigate. The doe and fawn were framed perfectly and the little black bear couldn't resist checking it out too. I have three 30 second videos of him pulling and playing with the branch, but they're too large to submit.

A close look through the foliage near the lower left corner will reveal a fawn following this buck through heavy cover. Incidentally, this camera was knocked off a tree a few years ago, assumed stolen and remained on the ground for nearly a year. After being found and cleaned it remains on duty today.

First bear ever on our property in Putnam County Georgia. People had posted on Facebook that they had seen a bear near us but no photos on the posts. I went and checked our cameras behind our house, we live on 25 acres, and there he was at one of our feeders!. He was around from midnight till 6:30 in the morning. That was on June 23rd. He never came back. Not a big bear but a neat one for the first ever here.
