One of the top predators that roam our woods here in WA. Set my camera up on this trail in Feb.'09 to get pictures of the bulls in the area before they shed their horns. I got the pics of the bulls and a lot more. This trail turned out to be a jackpot for my cuddeback setup. Through Feb. and the rest of '09 my capture has taken over 800 pics, on this same trail, of bulls,bucks,cows, calves, does, fawns, coyotes, bobcats, and bears. This trail was producing such great pics of all the different animals that live here, it was just a matter of time before I would get a pic of a cougar. It finally came in September and this is the first photo taken. I've got a couple more pics of a lion after this one but haven't had one pass in front of the camera in a couple months now. The camera is still in this spot and still producing some great pics of just about everything. I might just give this location and setup another year here, you never know what your going to capture.

The first picture there is a shed on the ground in front of the deer, never found a shed this early.

I had seen this coyote (or what I'm assuming is the same coyote) many times on my camera throughout the months I had my camera in this spot. When I pulled my card one day to check my pictures though, I couldn't believe what I had on there. I always hear Cuddeback talking about the great trigger speed of their cameras. I think this picture definitely proves how fast the trigger speed is. In the first picture, you can see the mouse on the ground and the coyote nosing around it. In the second picture the camera actually caught the mouse in mid-air from being thrown up by the coyote. It is even better that this picture was taken in the dark, showing just how talented these coyotes are when getting their food.
