I was hunting hogs on a friends place in Claiborne Co. Mississippi when this 300# boar came running in just after dark. He came directly underneath me, I found him in my scope and let him have a 300 grain HP .45/70. As you can see he walked in front of the camera as the 300 grain bullet was exiting his body. Impact was on high on his right shoulder. Exit wound was on his left side. In the picture you can see the blowout was caught by the Capture. We blood trailed him for 350 yds before our tracking lights played. These hogs can take a licking and keep on ticking. I'm going to attach an blown up pic also. This one GREAT CUDDEBACK moment. Just a few pictures I got this last week. It's a slow period of the year right now. Most males lost their antlers and now were all waiting around for turkey season.

I have been seeing turkey throughout the past two years in this very spot..and it seems to be that everytime i go up there they are always there! i don't know what it is but everytime hunting season rolls around...pooff! vanished gone...now this is about a 1 mile hike into the woods to even get to where these birds are..i don't understand why they are staying in one location up until the day its time to start lettin the arrows fly!!! either way great group of young gobblers..should be great birds in a few years..:)

We have a birdfeeder behind our home in Fairfax Station, Virginia. My wife will put food scraps in the feeder, and within minutes of depositing the food, we are deluged with crows, hawks and fox. The most interesting thing is the pecking order - the fox always goes first, then the hawks, then the crows. Fascinating.

We have a birdfeeder behind our home in Fairfax Station, Virginia. My wife will put food scraps in the feeder, and within minutes of depositing the food, we are deluged with crows, hawks and fox. I put this cam up in one of our favorite deer areas, hoping to get a shot of Mr. Big, and we captured what seems to be 4-5 cougars living there instead. You can count all the different cats coming and going and one pic seems to have atleast 4 different cats in the sdame frame, lazing around in the back left hand side.

This sequence of photos was gotten while volunteering for Smithsonian Institution along the Appalachian Trail in Botetourt County, VA. Other bears had to standup at this location to reach the skyline but this one did flat-footed. A walking stick can be seen hitching a ride on the bear as it passed close to the camera.
