I was undecided where to hunt our eastern Ontario rifle opener this year. I put out my CUDDEBACK, first at one spot and then at another.Wasn't hard to decide.Day two,late afternoon at the edge of a meadow I watched him put in a scrape while thrashing at the overhead branches before continuing along the trail into a clear shooting lane. These 3 bucks came through a few days after a severe wind storm in August of 2009, camera survived and I was able to catch these amazing shots.

I set my Capture IR on an active scrape line. The buck had been seen once in the area about 3 days before. Not bad for a Florida deer.

This buck is the only non-typical we have seen in our Culpeper hunting area. Only got three photos of him. We were hoping to see him again during the 09 season but no luck. Hope he is still out there passing on his genes.
