A couple of young bucks appear to still be testing each other even in January here in Texas. This was taken behind my house in the woods near Spring Creek in Harris County.

Survivors! Haven't seen these bucks on my camera for weeks. Deer season in the Ouachita Mountains of southwest Arkansas ended last week. I'm surprised to see them since there were lots of hunters in the Ouachita National Forest that surrounds our property. Happy New Year!

I'm from N.C. I've been in a drawing for the past 5 years trying to have a chance to hunt in Iowa. I got drawn this year, so I sent my buddy 8 Cuddeback cameras for him to setup around his farm. This is one of the bucks that showed up and I chose him as the number one target. On my first day on the farm, I saw him run through the yard while we were grilling. Seven days later on a cold, windy and snowy afternoon, I was able to harvest this buck with my Hoyt bow at 18 yds. He ran up into the CRP about 75 yds before he expired. The Green score was 152" and this is my biggest buck to date. I am so grateful to Josh and his in-laws for allowing me to hunt their beautiful Iowa farm. Robby

We called this deer Hornacopia for having horns of plenty. My dad passed on this deer in 2019 at 35 yards in a wide open field. It had 16 points then and was a huge deer. We captured 5 photos of him in 2020 and he became gigantic this following year. We could count more than 30 points in the photos. We were able to have one in person sighting in 2020 which resulted in a poor quality video too far away to shoot. Hornacopia walked away in 2020. We haven't seem him since.

I passed this buck last year to see what he would bloom into this year. Mother Nature never disappoints!
