Ionia County, Michigan, is one of several counties experiencing a disease that is attacking the whitetail deer herd. The disease is EHD, that is transmitted by a fly bite. The attached photo shows an 8 point buck stumbling in the right area of the photo. This photo was taken on August 11th, 2012. We found this buck dead not 40 yards from where this photo was taken on August 13th, 2012. He was a tall 8 point with approximately a 16-17 inch inside spread. A horrible death for such a beautiful animal.

I had just inished planting a food plot and parked my tractor for the night. Within an hour of leaving this buck came out and checked things out as if to be looking for his next snack.

I bought the camera with my son and set it out this past Sunday 8/19/12. Went back that Tuesday to see what we got. To our surprise, we got this video of a sow with three cubs at 5:30pm. We just missed the bears by an hour. Video was taken in the northern Catskill mountains of NY.

First is picture of a doe and two fawns. One of the fawns must have been picking on the other because mom is restoring order by tapping one of the fawns on the head. Second pic is a buck we call mr. wide he likes the capture Ir because this is the 15th pic of him this summer. but it will be the last since thiefs stole my camera a week later. Third pic is a buck that came in on 6-25-12 and is the only pics I got of him. Sure would like to see him in the fall to see how big he got.
