Once deer season is out, we try to catch the last bucks before they drop their antlers. I had placed our camera in what I actually thought would garner little activity, but I liked the view as it was down by our Orchard Spring. Low and behold, we captured our resident bobcat in the snow! An awesome photo for us! (Note: I still need to set my time...naturally this is not 2:49 AM ; )

This is the first and last photo I got of this buck on my hunting lease.A neighbor of mine had seen him many times the year before and had named him the freak.I never saw him in the archery season but 2 days into the shotgun season I finally saw him, in the back of a truck. The same neighbors son shot him about 2 miles from where I had the picture. hHe green scored him at 167 gross score. At least someone I know got him.

I shot this black bear in the spring in Saskatchewan with Roger Eagles's Bear Claw Outfitters. The fifth bear we saw that night. This blonde bear tried to come into the bait for over two hours but every time it did another bigger black bear would chase it off. By the time it was able to finally sneak into the bait my nerves where about shot but I still managed a direct heart shot. I have two camera angles of the shot from the stand plus this clip from the Cuddeback Attack IR. The bear only went about 30 yards and tried to climb a tree then fell to the ground and then did a death moan. Coolest hunt of my life so far!
