After three preveious years of cold wet springs and poor hatches we had a nice spring in 2014 and this brood is a good sign turkey production is up. Cuddeback cameras are a good tool for brood surveys.

Scouting for elk and this young wolf shows up a few minutes after the elk most every time. Guess he is also scouting for elk. By the way, officials say there aren't any wolves in this area!

This Rattlesnake was hunting birds, rats, and squirrels probably, but this ole doe knows something is up. It just don't smell right. I don't think the snake bit her or anything else, but they played cat and mouse most of the afternoon.
