Around late August I was perched in my observation stand that overlooks a large soybean field glassing potential shooters for the upcoming season. I had just gotten seated and began to search the field when to my surprise this buck showed up! I had not seen this buck all summer, but he immediately got my attention. After a few sightings, I had a good idea where he entered the field, so I took my cuddeback and placed it near this location. It seemed like forever before he finally showed up on camera, but the photo I have submitted was one of the first that I actually got of him and immediately after seeing the size of this deer, he was given the name Goliath.

I placed this camera in a new location to see what had been coming to my Donkey Corn and I received this rare day time shot of a very relaxed monster 12. We run 5 trail cams on our property and I do not remember ever another shot of a big buck this relaxed during the daylight.

I got this deer on camera for the second year in a row during velvet. Last year he put the slip on me and avoided me all season and showed back up after season was over. With the rut quickly approaching and the fact that this deer has grown such a great amount from last season, my sights are set solely on him!

Turkeys in flight at Loyal Valley, Texas. How many turkeys do you see? Answer: There are actually four turkeys in the photo. Look along the right side of the photo for the other two standing in the background.

For the past 3 years I have noticed a large scrape under one specific spruce tree. The tree itself was to big for the strap to mount a camera and there was nothing else around a camera to. This year I bought a genius mount was able to attach the camera to a huge limb. The spot has not dissapointed! The tree is definitely the hot spot. I have 9 cameras out year round and once I set this camera up I have pictures of bucks I never knew exsited. I have countless pictures of sparing, scraping, licking the tree limbs. What also surprised me is amount of does that come and check this spot our as well as as the fawns. I am hoping this pictures wins so I can get a new camera that takes videos as night. This spot would have some definite night time stories to tell.
