On The Move This is a peninsula with Red & White Oaks that shoots out into a swampy creek bottom. The deer get pinched off by a rocky bluff to the left that they travel along up and over this hump. To the right is the creek bottom. Behind there is a funnel or an inside turn off the peninsula. Behind the buck is another inside turn off the peninsula and at the base of the bluff there is an abandon apple orchard. This is also home of some very nice rubs on this hump and as you can see a community scrape.

I decided to place a camera for the first time during the spring months to chronicle the actual date I will observe new born whitetail deer fawns and see if I can get to follow antler growth on whatever bucks are on my property. The photo I'm submitting was taken from a location that is only 50 yards away from my cabin in the woods that is next to a beaver pond. The Cuddeback camera has provided me with tremendous images from seeing the newly hatched Canada Geese and identifying the precise date whitetail fawns were first appearing. I have numerous images throughout May and June where you see does and geese together, however this one is simply too funny in watching the reaction of this friendly confrontation when I had placed a bucket of corn out for all to feed on the day before the actual image was taken.

As summers coming to an end the corn here has matured earlier than nor and I expect the deer to be feeding quite heavy in the corn soon. Here are is an older buck that has started the corn diet already. The hay field haven't been great as well.

Large amounts of food were disappearing from our bird feeder and while we knew it was probably a raccoon, this photo confirmed it and prompted us to relocate the feeder
