Camera is mounted facing north across the unpaved driveway to my home in rural Clarendon Count South Carolina. Running north from the driveway and south through the woods behind the camera is a major deer and wildlife trail, so I keep a camera active at this spot all year.

As a young hunter, I get pretty excited when it comes to checking the deer camera for what could have walked through my dad and I's baiting area. Usually, with my excitement, I check the camera before my dad gets home from work and usually it's the typical pictures of deer. However, as I was clicking through that day's photos I come across this strange animal. Something I've never seen before so I waited patiently for my dad to get home and ask him. It's a Fischer! My dad was pretty surprised because we haven't had once since I was very little and he was never able to get it on camera because he never had a deer cam during that time. He was so surprised he asked me to send it to him, where I'm sure he's gonna be passing it around and telling everyone!

Ok, not really an entry, more a testimonial to how good Cuddeback cameras are. This one has been on duty as part of a Brown Hyena Project on the west coast of South Africa. It was deployed for 5 months a short distance from the Atlantic ocean overlooking a seal carcass which we thought might be scavenged by Brown hyena. As you can see it took a beating from wind, salt water spray and sand but continued working, not surprisingly though the images were a bit blurry :-). Cleaned it up, replaced the batteries. Tomorrow it goes back on duty.

I've been watching this guy for a couple years now. Buck of a lifetime for sure. I've been hunting hard for him this year. Hopefully the time comes soon.

After using 3 cameras in several locations and catching very few deer this summer, which i brlieved was because of the EHD disease! We found several dead and being just south of Jefferson co. Ohio, which was the hardest hit in the state ,i believe, we just thought all the good bucks that we were seeing in the spring, were dead! The last 2 weeks of october, i started getting several doe and small bucks on camera and when a decent 9 moved in,.i went to work and harvested him on the 29th of october! A few days later,.i check my cameras and bucks everywhere! Really wish i would have held out! This wide 8 has a scrape about 10 feet from a one of my ladder stands! Now, I'm really hoping he makes it and hangs around!
