These are the photos that I intended to send last week. The mother coyote will have her hands full. I have never gotten photos like these before. I feel fortunate to have gotten these.

I put these cameras before the road was completely clear of snow so i had to hike in 3 miles and got a pretty good show put on in front of the cameras at 8800 feet. I might just hike in next year and see if i can get one of these big birds.

Now that the weathers nice, and I have the windows open, I've been hearing some strange sounds in the backyard late at night. I set up one of my cameras under the bird feeders to see if I could find out what was responsible. I captured this photo of a opossum telling a raccoon who's the boss of my back yard. They must have worked things out because they were both under the feeder in subsequent pictures

The deer have really had a big antler growth spurt over the last week. My kids and I really enjoy getting into the woods and spending quality time together every Sunday to check the camera and see what we have captured on our SD card. It has really help start the excitement of nature in both of my kids and an appreciation for the great outdoors. The only down side is having to fight back “buck fever” for another 5 months, lol!
