I first captured these two bucks on my cuddyback on October 26th. After moving a tree stand and waiting for the right wind direction I was able harvest the 12 pointer on November 2nd

It has been a Wet year and have not been able to get pictures from camera for over 2 months, finally dried up a little and was able to hunt opening day of season with one feeder on somewhat dry land. Got a 10 point afternoon of opening day and was amazed by this picture when I was able to look at my camera.

Found a hunting property and signed a purchase agreement on 10/2/18. Researched trail camera systems with picture sending capability and elected to acquire a four camera Model J2 system with a cell home base to have ready for when we would actually own and gain access to the land. Was finally able to close on the property Wednesday 10/24/18. Was first able to travel to the property and scout it on Saturday 10/27/18. Deployed CuddeLink system with cell base on Saturday 10/27/18 with initial guess on settings. Went back Sunday to put up a couple deer stands and tweak the CuddeLink settings. Received trail cam picture of a very large deer within 12 hours; Monday 10/29/18 (Image 1). Definitely started planning how prepare and hunt the property based upon that picture; If I was using a traditional camera system I would not have been able to check the SD cards until after I'd hunted the following Saturday. Night before rifle opener, while prepping to hunt, received trail cam picture of same deer again in day light; Friday 11/2/18 (Image 2). This again changed my hunting strategy and made me elect to go to a different stand location. Successfully, took deer Saturday 11/3/18 within 75 yds of the Friday trail cam picture. Unofficial 200 3/8 18 point white tail from Minnesota. Trail cam system was in operation for less than week and played vital roll in the hunt of a lifetime!! Could not and would not have had the opportunity on this majestic creation without the real-time intel.

Saturday nights for fighting #1The previous picture included a fawn with the doe on the right. The deer on the left has a mouth full of food as the fight for several minutes and in several pictures. #2-3 Two buck sparing. A third smaller buck arrives but doesn’t stay around long while these two continue to fight it out.
