I set my Cuddeback digital Long Range IR over a nice mule deer buck that had been shot and not recovered. It was mostly picked over by scavengers but I was still able to get pictures of the Black Bear that had been feasting on the carcass for a few days. There were also Coyote and numerous birds. I have three of these cameras and others. This is my favorite camera.

I have to make another correction to my photo submittal from This morning. Please disregard the change from my first submittal of this photo which correctly showed a Holden Eagle and a Raven. The closest bird to the camera is a Raven with the Eagle landing. It is a somewhat “mystical†photo with an incredible landscape effect of depth of field to the horizon with all that action a few feet from the Cuddeback camera.

This is an update of my submission yesterday. My photo shows 2 Golden Eagles with one directly in front of my camera and the other landing on a Lava Rock. High Desert Sage Brush of SE Oregon on Feb. 19, 2019. Note the extreme depth of field in this Cuddeback photo never seen when using telephoto lenses in wildlife photography.

From my Golden Eagle series. Seen the Raven on a Coyote carcass. Set up my Cuddeback H-1453 and got images of Eagles, Raven, Bobcat, RT Hawk in the High Desert Sage Brush Steppe of SE Oregon. Temps were down to 0 F and Lithium Iron Batteries worked well. This is an almost surreal shot of a Raven a few feet away and the Golden Eagle landing.

On one of my wildlife photography trips I was alerted by some Ravens in Lava Rocks of the Klamath Basin High Desert Steppe. Animal fur and bones were visible. I set up my new Cuddeback H-1453 with Lithium Iron batteries nearby and returned to the site 5 days later. The night time temperature had been down to 0F several nights with some snow. I captured images of Golden Eagles, Raven, a RT Hawk and at night a Bobcat. Battery showed 90 percent power after 5 days and I had 460 images. Awesome camera. Camera is still out there and I can’t wait to see results on next trip.

My Cuddeback got a picture of what seems to be a reindeer doing a preflight check.
