This is a photo of a buck that I rattled in and passed up at 10 yards last year with the bow (as a 2 1/2 year old). I got good video of him. You can't see it in the picture, but I was sitting in a tree that's about 75 yards away in the background. Anyway, I found his right shed this spring. Between the neighbor and I, we got 10 pictures of him this fall including this one. Three days after this photo was taken (10-31-05), I was sitting about 30 yards further away in the background again. I grunted him in (he actually followed a doe in) and I got him with a 28 yard shot with the bow. He weighed 186 pounds dressed and has 8 points with a 15 1/2 inch spread. Please note my new e-mail address above. I have made previous submissions under the address of treabe@juno.com . This address is no longer active.

After I bought a Cuddeback and seeing nice bucks I never knew were around, my father bought one also and look what he found! This nice buck has never been seen before these two pictures of him making a scrape.

Can't explain the orange spot on the extreme left side of the picture with the deer with the glowing eyes. I can't think of anything in nature that would have a rectangular shape to it that would either reflect light or emit light. There is nothing in pictures that were taken just before this one or after it. Nothing in the daylight shots either. This one has me stumped.

Had my camera up in this spot for a week, on a trail coming from a scrape on a picked soybean field. There was a 2 1/2 year old 8 after two days, then some doe's, then this fella.

I could never get a visual on this buck, but knew he was there. Scrapes and rubs were all over. This prompted me to buy a cuddeback. Boy, am I glad I did. I've added the picture of a doe so you can see the difference in body size compared to the limb they are standing under.
