This is a chocolate, color phase, black bear. this bear is less than 2 feet away from the camera. This a big, big bear. well over 400 lbs. Look closely at his eye and you can see that he is looking directly at the camera. the camera is 3 feet above the ground. in a metal locking box. attached to a pine tree. the camera faces north. This is a Colorado bear. I am choosing to keep the location a secret as I have been hunt this one bear for 3 years. I know there are many hunters that would flock to the area if they knew where he lives.

This was my first photos with a new, to me, Cuddeback trailcam. I purchased it used. I am experimenting with the settings. For these first photos, the flash seemed a little weak and not very even in its lighting. American Badgers make a home on our property where there is an abundance of yellow-bellied marmots in the talus slopes of a canyon with cliffs. Previously, I have captured, with a different camera, a badger emerging from a burrow with a marmot in his mouth. The marmot being about as big as the badger.

A stand off between a royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris) and a sloth bear (Melursus ursinus): No one did defeat the other, they both get tired and moved away. However in this amazing picture it seems like both moving together peacefully!

I have a network of cameras around my 20 acre parcel and cabin. My cabin is 20 miles north of Yellowstone National Park. It is at 7000 feet and adjoins Gallatin National Forest.

Image 1...Taken 12/5/19 during/after winter snow storms. Image 2...Taken 1/8/20 after storm subsides Image 3...Taken 1/12/20 where wind blew and provided food for the Elk to graze. Camera was set for a picture every 5 minutes during daylight and automatically to motion setting at night. Camera remained activated for approximately 5 months and was unable to retrieve it until May 2020 because of blizzard and snow conditions. I had 4 cameras with more than 40,000 pictures to review after finally get them back.

This photo was only 3 hours before I got to the farm to hunt. This is a great example of why I love having Cuddeback/Cuddelink.

I really wish we had video turned on for this camera. There's a two minute gap between the two pictures.... wonder if he pranced around that entire time....
