We got this great photo of a rare melanistic buck last week. Melanism is said to be even more rare than albinism. He has white inside his ears, under his tail, his throat patch and belly hair, otherwise he is all black. I have other Cuddeback pix of him and even got live video footage of him yesterday. We have decided not to shoot him yet since he is only a year and a half spikehorn. It will be interesting to see what he grows into.

it is crazy to think my camera is not in the woods but more like 150 yards from it and 30 yards from my back step, and i walked past my camera with 2 friends going to track a deer not a half hour earlier. the third picture just amazes me, darn close to the spine.

The two daylight pictures of the buck have awesome color. The clouds have a neat pond ripple effect to them. The other is of a buck beating the turkeys to the corn.

Cuddeback NoFlash...the best around, it can make you really excited to know what is on your property...and really frustrated when you don't see them during season!
