I get between 4000 - 6000 pictures a year on our 2000 acres on the Big Black River in Mississippi. I have seen numerous great shots of all kinds of animals but his has it all. This picture was taken on October 9, 2006 only 10 days into our Bow Season and WELL before the rut even begins. Most deer have not lost there velvet yet. This picture has it all, Momma , baby young brother and a bystander (turkey). I call it What is going on??? I have taken well over 20,000 pictures with my 7 Cuddeyback C3000's and this picture has gotten much attention localy.

Let this deer go for three years and the year I was going to harvest it, the second day of deer reason it had left my property and crossed into public land for a doe in heat and got shot by a group that drives deer. I herd them shot 18 times and later seen a photo of the deer. I was heart broken.

After checking out a new property prior to the 2006 PA archery season I placed my Cuddeback under a heavily used apple tree. After a couple weeks I was amazed the number of bucks using the area. The pictures helped me figure out my stand placement and what deer I waned to hold out for. Well the third evening of the season I connected with a nice 18 10 point. He was one of the deer I had numerous pictures of. Cuddeback is the ultimate scouting tool.

I placed the camera under this apple tree one week after I shot my buck from under it and this guy decided to pay me a visit. He was there for over an hour eating apples. He sat down in front of the camera for 15 minutes then got up and left. He then came back a short time later and sat down in the same spot. Perfectly centered in the camera. The cuddeback is the ultimate tool for scouting. I will be purchacing another unit before next season for sure.
