This young buck is just about to rub off the last of his velvet - this picture is a very good example as to how red and bloody the antlers are after they shed their velvet. . .the other buck also has some velvet hanging off his right antler too

I've been chasing this deer for 3 years. This is one of the smartest bucks I've ever hunted. I can't wait for the start of the season. I'm confident this will be my year!!!

After having 2/3rds of my deer woods cleared this winter, due to the land being sold I did not know what bucks were still around. I have been hunting this property for five years and it has always held good bucks. Well to my suprise I got this nice picture of a good buck still in velvet. Up until now all I have seen is small year and half old bucks. This really got me going. I set this camera up on what I thought was an old trail, hoping to see some does and assumed some small bucks. The camera is set up across from three trees, the middle tree, being a tree that I hunt out of in my climber. Hope you like, I sure do.
