This picture was taken in a travel corridor. Deer appears to be 3.5 year old with a very nice drop tine. Very rare to catch a buck in the daylight at highnoon shedding his velvet with blood red antlers! The other buck was only 3 minutes behind him and he is already in hard horn and cleaned up.

These pictures were taken in an area that I historically capture pictures of quality bucks. I put my camera out the day hurricane Gustav hit the southern coast of Louisiana. I live in the northern portion of the state and the thought of the hurricane affecting my land or camera for that matter never crossed my mind. After Gustav dumped nearly 10 inches of rain in a day I thought it would be wise to check my camera. I had to wade through waist deep water to get my camera and was suprised to see this pics. I have never seen water this high on this land in the 4 years I have owned it. My neighbors tell me it has not been this high since 1992. The water is the result of a bayou nearly 2 miles away that has flooded a large area including my 80 acres. The good news is that even though the water was covering nearly the bottom 25% of my camera it is still working well. Both picks were taken from the same spot but you can see how much water moved in in only a few days after Gustav.

We saw the tracks of this fisher last deer season but were not sure what they were, having never seen them before. And wondered at the time if they could be fisher tracks. Then captured this photo in close proximity to where the tracks were. Thanks Cuddeback, we have just purchaced our third trail cam.

For weeks I've been looking for a good buck. I ask neighbors and they said they did'nt see good bucks? Then a week before bow hunting, I know what I'll be looking for.

I have been watching this deer for a several weeks but never closer then 500 yards. I purchased two Capture cameras on Sept 4th at Cabelas and put them out the same day in an area I thought he might be using. This camera is mounted on the same tree I killed a nice 10pt last Oct.
