Put up a cuddeback on a logging road on a ridge heavy with oaks. Turkeys are hitting the area hard here in winter. I love to see the large winter flocks

We back to a ranch on the south side of Metro Denver, and commonly see deer, coyotes, some elk and fox, and various raptors. Our camera is about four feet off the ground, even with the top of our fence. I happened to see this hawk sitting briefly on the fence next to the camera, but was surprised to find such a remarkably clear shot of both the hawk and its lunch!

Our camera is about four feet off the ground, even with the top of our fence. I happened to see this hawk sitting briefly on the fence next to the camera, but was surprised to find such a remarkably clear shot of both the hawk and its lunch!

The Gobbler pic was a strutting zone I had witnessed the bird strutting in my spring scouting. I was able to set up the camera and capture him in full strut. The three bear pic was a total surprise, that is a mineral lick area I have set up for deer.

We have the privilege of living next to a open field and wooded area. We get deer, ground hogs, racoon and the occasional child giving a goofy face showing up on our Cuddeback cameras. Our kids were discussing the flight of birds a couple weeks ago. After seeing this amazing shot from our Attack IR of a Cardinal hovering in flight I had to show the kids. They were so excited to be able to see and better understand the wing pattern of how birds fly!
