This photo was taken September 29th in northwestern Missouri. The buck forage oats that I sewed the first of the month are already pretty tall to verify the date. This fawn appears to be having trouble walking, which indicates it must be less than two weeks old. With a gestation period of approximately 200 days, this idicates that this doe was bred in late February to early March when the majoraty of the breeding in northwest Missouri takes place in November.

I have been hunting this area for a few years now, it's always better when corn is planted. The years corn is planted the sign is bigger and deer movement increases. This guy was capture on film and 12 Nov 08 I actually got to put my eyes on him. He moved to within 45 yards and stalled, did a 180 and went back the same way he came. The rut activity has started to increase around here and with some luck I'll get a few more chances of getting eyes on and maybe a shot. Mark

Placed camera on a trail known for traveling deer and caught this 9 point with crab claws and stickers on its G2's. This buck was harvested by my brother during first weekend of MN firearm season.

Here in Lavaca County, Texas, hogs have taken over. We have trapped over 100 hogs this year, the problem is, we only trap the smaller hogs, the big one we only capture with cuddeback.
