I spotted this buck August 17th and did not get him on camera until Mid-October, and bow hunted him. I had him in at 11 yards and just when he was about to come into my shooting lane from the ground blind, he did a buck roar and whirled and chased a smaller buck away, leaving me at full draw and my heart racing. I named him the long brow-tined buck with his brow tines I estimated at 10 to 11 inches. My hunt was put on hold for 3 weeks waiting for the perfect North wind. I photographed him throughout the hunting season, and stopped hunting him when he broke off his G-4 which I saw on camera and 24 hours later, on camera he broke off the G-2. I decided to pass on him until next year in hopes he will get bigger. Getting pictures of him on my cuddeback was the next best thing to getting him in my sites.

I thought all the bucks in this area lost their antlers since I haven't captured any picturs of bucks since mid-January. Unbelievably, this buck showed up in the middle of the night - March 3rd. I'm very suprised that he still has his antlers.
