I grunted this small ten in last season and was at full draw before i decided he just wasn't quite what i was looking for. The big buck was a nine pointer last year and he eluded me all year. Laid eyes on him one afternoon on the way to my stand, he was feeding 15 yards from my tree. He soon caught my wind and the gig was up. Both deer have blossomed from last year.

I fertilize these white oaks every year, and as a result they seem to draw the deer in like a magnet. This year I used a brush mower clear the weeds in front of the camera just before the acorns started dropping.
