We live in bear country here in Western Colorado. Usually they stay higher but the mast crop was poor this year so they are lower filling up for their hibernation period. I captured five different bears over three days in one spot and that spot is about 100 yards from our front door. We have no picnic baskets, Yogi.

2 bucks by food plot eating apples by apple trees next to food plot right before a big storm rolled in! Nice buck heading down a trail that leads away from a corn and soybean field. Nice buck feeding on apples / camera attached to apple tree.

After a week's worth of pictures of does frequenting my swamp-edge stand location, i checked my camera to find over 100 photos of this nice boar black bear coming in to the area twice a day! He wasn't too interested in the minerals i put out for the deer, but sure enjoyed eating the acorns! The last picture, you can see the bear fleeing the scene, as i am entering the opening inside the laurel in the far right corner of the shot (i'm not in the actual shot, however). The general consensus is that he has the potential to dress around 350 lbs. I know where i'll be sitting during bear season!

I found, what I had thought to be a sneak through spot for the deer inside the laurel, boardering a large swamp behind my house. I put my cuddeback out there and was surprised to find this mother and her cubs frequenting the area, eating up every acorn in sight. Looks like the cubs are already preparing for adulthood
