I had been looking all over for a decent buck to hunt the first day of bow season. After coming up empty on my regular spots,i decided to try rite behind my house. I live pretty close to town so i was alittle suprised when i saw this nice 10 pt. The bigger 8 pt is in one of w.v. s bow only counties.

I run a bear guide service in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I have always been hesitant to use trail cameras, as bears can be very hard on them. I decided to try our Cuddeback from a higher part of the tree to, hopefully, get the camera out of their reach. This year I got some fantastic photos of bears, raccoons, deer and eagles. This is one of my favorite pictures of three of the bears with one of the bears in the 55 gallon barrel licking the inside totally clean. These three bears are actually three of the four 2 year old cubs that come to the feeder with their mom. Mom is a very large bear and while all five bears are legal targets in this state, I will not shoot any of them or put a hunter on this bait that might shoot them, as the female has been a regular producer of large litters and, hopefully, this will help the bear population in my particular area.

The first week with my new cuddeback, I had been getting a lot of deer on camera but not many were bucks. After our first snowfall of the year, this guy walked in right beside the tree that I have my camera on. Great photo of a nice looking deer! Can't wait to check it again next week!

I have captured over a hundred pictures of this buck within the month before the openning of bow season. I shot him the first saturday of the season and it is all due to my cuddeback. He was taken ten yards from the location of my camera.

This trail is 20 yards in front of my stand. I saw this big guy opening day at 35 yards behind me. Couldn't get a shot at him and I haven't gotten his picture since.

Even the coons give a clap for the performance of a cuddeback and a grin.
