Its mid- October and the rut is just around the corner. Deer activity has been at an all time low with very little sign of buck activity in the area. For years bucks have been using the edge of an oak flat that is bordering cedar swamp. This year I planned on doing something different. I was going to setup my cuddeback in a location known to have scrapes year after year hoping to catch the deer that was going to make the first scrape of the season in that area. The plan worked and what a picture my cuddeback took. If it wasnt for my cuddeback I would have not known that this buck was in the area. What a great camera. Thank you cuddeback!! Here are a couple of pictures of some bucks already fighting in front of a scrape. I guess it isn't too early yet. It was quite a busy night with 11 different bucks that came in, 8 of them being 10 pointers or larger.

All these pitures were taken on the same old loging road planted in whitetail clover. the road is a major acess for all my stands and gets heavey trafic year round. But we always have deer using the road all day.My family is always excited to see what new piture comes up each week.Let me know what you think of the pitures my boys (Clark 15 and Nelson 12) would love to here from Cuddeback. thanks Michael

Were staying in southern Illinois and we found some scrapes on the edge of a corn field so we put the camera out and got these bucks the first night.
