The buck on the left I have been watching for the past three years. Last year this buck and another buck, which I harvested in rifle season, were both identical to look at. This year his rack is thicker and more points. It also seems he has a pal just like last year. The other buck last year was five point, and it seems as though this year the he has taken on a much thicker, wider, and taller rack.

My buddy Jaron Holmes in Holly Springs,NC watched and videoed this deer in his backyard woods the whole summer of '08. He grew into a P&Y deer at just 3 1/2. Bow season came and no daddy . Being in a urban setting there are many places he can hide. He didn't see him for 2 years. Their are some old home places with some fruit trees in the yard threw the woods from his house. he went by and talked to the owner and obtained permission to hunt on there property. I had just bought my cuddeback a couple weeks before and this was going to be the first chance to test it out. We put it out and went back 5 days later and had 75 pictures. Thanks to the cuddeback capture IR we finally have a picture of the allusive daddy and know where he is living. Now at 5 1/2 he is a giant 150 class 9 point. Thank you, Jeff Whitley and Jaron Holmes

If you want them to GROW let them GO! this deer is about 5 y/o this year and a shooter. Been watching this deer for 3 years now..wanted to see how big he'd grow. WOW!! Trust me..if you want BIGGER BUCKS let the 2.5 and 3.5 y/o go even in Florida...

The first pic is of a 5 year old buck that has a unique rack prolly because of an injury and the other two pics are of a nice 1.5 year old 8 pointer, he sure will be nice in a few years.
