The photo shows late April snow in Wisconsin right during our Turkey season. These two toms are fighting right in front of my pond in my back yard. The setting with the two turkeys looks awesome.

I've been pretty fortunate to have a spot like i do to hunt so close to my home. The past 3 seasons, the number of deer in the area has plummeted, not because of DNR mismanagement, but because of urban sprawl- An elementary school, a subdivision, and a huge apartemnt complex have poppd up smack in the middle of my hunting territory in that time. Now that construction has been completed, the deer are back. i guess it goes to show how adaptive deer are. i rarely see them during the day, but i'm getting them on camera at night. Attached are some i got recently in a historically hard-hit velvet rub-off area. The bucks hammer the little maples that grow under the oak tree canopy, i assume to shed their velvet. i gotta say this is the first time i've seen a buck in the process of shedding sparring with another buck. iguess the bachelor groups are about to split up!

Took this a few years ago. I notice there was something chewing on the inside of feeder. Didnt get a pic of anything for a long time. Then i seen the thief......Then there is the deer that only gives me pictures of his backside...... And there is the one im after. He is a 4 1/2 year old deer. Have pic of him as a 2 year old. He was 145 inch last year and now has blew up this year.

We have been seeing a few bucks on the camera and one is a real nice 9 pt. Everytime we check the photos we are waiting to see the large buck. Does and fawns are nice to see and sometimes pose in funny ways but we haven't seen this action before. Hopefully these little guys will figure things out as they grow older!
