Though we have some really good pics of the deer on our property, we are happy to have this memory of our teenage son Andrew whom we asked to pick up the camera on his way back in.

This photo was taken on a trail about 60 yds. below my tree stand. I had taken what I thought to be a perfect 18 yd. broadside shot at this doe moments before the photo was snapped. I found very little blood and was unable to recover her. I did find blood on the trail going by the Capture. If you look closely behind her shoulder you will see the x of my broadhead. My only theory is she was quartering away from me when I took the shot and I missed all the vitals. There is no doubt that wounding an animal and not being able to recover it is the worst feeling in hunting. Not only do you feel horrible for causing an animal to suffer you are left wondering what went wrong. Having a Cuddeback answered a lot my questions. Thanks to my capture I have no doubt where I hit the animal. With my competitor's cameras I would have been lucky to have gotten a tail in the picture.

I had the picture sent to the Ministry of Natural Resources and they assured me she is healthy. They figure she might have been broadsided by a car, gotten mugged by a bear or coyote and survived the ordeal. A real survivor! Jo

The first day I put my cuddeback out I had amazing pictures right off the bat. I had 60 pictures and was so excited to see what I captured! I found out that I didn't only capture awesome bucks, but some other animals as well. They sure didn't seem to care about each other as you can see from the photos!
