I live 280 miles from my deer lease and my Cuddeback cams record the deer movement. I check the cams and make a smarter choice on stand selection.

With these big boys roaming the east central Illinois countryside it's hard to not be excited about spending time in the stand.

I had just put my Cudde Back out that afternoon by my stand. A doe and fawn came out first. She was looking around then all of a sudden she squatted and the buck came out. I took a shot at him, he spun around and that's when the camera took the picture. I heard him crash and found him about 80 yards away. When we gutted him we could see where the arrow went through his heart.

Well the little bucks have started chasing here in west-central Wisconsin...I think the big boys are still checking scrapes and cruising though...this warm weather will probably slow em down to. I also have a color pic of the 10 in the pics but its from another camera. This is a cuddeback website so I'm not going to post pics from another camera on here unlike some do.

First setup with cuddeback camera I had no empty pics. Last camera was a Bushnel, what a difference trigger speed makes. Here are just some of the many bucks I got in the first 5 days using a cuddeback on a scrape on a field edge.

The first photo I got of this big 10 pointer was on September 27 when he still had his drop-tine. The next picture was captured October 7 and the drop-tine was already broke off. On October 12 I got my last picture of him, and on November 6 I called him in to 32yrds and shot him. He ran no more than 80yrds and he dropped out in my bean field. Without my Cuddeback Capture IR, I probably never would've known he was running the trail under my stand.

I call this buck hacksaw because of his gnarly left brow tine. Beautiful southern Illinois buck!
