I like to try some different set ups when deer aren't packing antlers, so I found this log crossing a creek and left the camera there for a couple months. I got some bears and another lion, but the black and white of this young lion turned out the best. On a different set up by a water hole, I got this big lion crouching. Looks like he's getting ready to pounce! But I couldn't see what he was watching. Maybe next time!

I always enjoy getting a multi species photo. This painted turtle is sharing the log with these wood ducks. The female wood duck must be trying to impress the turtle.
