I am an East Texas hunter and as most areas in the USA pig populations are out of control. I recently joined a deer lease 8 hours south outside of Laredo, Tx. Laredo is on the border of Texas and Mexico. Our deer lease is actually only 2.5 miles from the Rio Grande river. Of course the excitment of hunting a new area, I was eager to get my Cuddeback Camera to work. Being that I have never hunted there and because it is a dry climate I never expected to see wild hogs. After a month of having my Cuddeback camera on feeder pen, I was amazed at the hundereds of pics I had of wild hogs. Scanning through over 1400 pics, one picture put everything in perspective. This pic will show that these wild hogs are REALLY serious about making sure their population is a healthy and flourishing one.

I have showed this pic to several of my friends and each one of them gave the response big deal, it's just a doe . It's comical that somehow the bucks you want to see still manage to hide even when captured in a picture.

I am from Annville Pa and had NO idea that this big guy was wandering my property until I got home from a hunting trip to Tioga County and checked my Cudde Back the following morning. Needless to say I was speechless after I realized that this big 10 had walked within 15 yards of my treestand in the day light on saturday morning, the last day of my hunt in Tioga. I caught him on camera 4 times that week. It was not until the second last day of archery season that I got a chance to see him in person. It was friday morning, 6:45am, a steady west wind and I hammered my rattle bag for 45 seconds. Within 5 minutes the big 10 appeared out of no where, thrashing branches along my food plot, looking for any other buck who might challenge him. He came within 25 yards that day but circled me down wind looking for his rival. He never did give me a shot but the experience was worth every minute I got to watch this magnificent buck! Who says PA doesn't have 150 class buck!

This was taken under my stand the day before the bowhunting opener. I was lucky enough to get 3 other pictures of them fighting and was even able to see who the winner was. I've got pictures of smaller bucks fighting in this same spot.
