Set up the camera along an old logging road where there had been scrapes in the years past..... amazing how lucky I got or how lucky this buck is ...... Never imagined I would capture a buck like this - while at his licking branch

We knew that this deer was on the farm because we got an early glimpse of him in velvet back in July. We started running our trail cameras immediately after that, but never caught him on camera until he had shed his velvet and like most of the other big boys he has waited until that magical time of year to really show himself. Now, I have 8 pictures of him in the last week!
