I set up my Cuddeback at a site I had hunted the last couple of years. I had seen a young bobcat there last year just learning to hunt and not doing very well. I am not sure if these are his relatives or not. I didn't notice the kitten coming from under log following its momma until I loaded my pictures on my laptop. I also got a picture of an owl in flight. The Cuddeback Capture stopped the wings in flight! Again, I didn't notice the second owl watching until I zoomed in on the first owl. Awesome action and camera!

During preseason scouting I found a new gas well recently constructed. There were big tracks in the freshly cut road and a well used trail heading up the steep mountainside. I went up the mountain to an old strip mining bench and found a couple of nice flat ridges between the gas well and the strip bench. I positioned my Cuddeback and found this big guy's bedding area. I also found a slightly confused younger buck!

This is a buck that I had on my camera last year. And until this week I havent seen this buck for a couple weeks. I was worried that someone had taken him during gun season, but to my surprise he is still alive. The funny thing is I now know why I hadnt been seeing him on my property for a cuople weeks. I replaced one of my cuddebacks in a new field 5 miles away from where I had been hunting. I also owned this property. After reports or some big deer in the feild, I place my cuddeback in the field. I checked it the following week and look who it was the same deer that was on my other property 5 miles up the road. I know bucks travel, but for this buck to travel this distance and just make a big loop surprised me.

This is a central California private ranch with a 3 x 3 15 Black Tailed Deer being a trophy. Heavy with brush, manzanita, shrub oak and chimse. I am third generation hunting on this ranch. We typically do not harvest these types of bucks, thanks to Cuddy Back, I know I will be concentrating my hunting efforts on this guy.

This is an 11 point that I have been tracking for a couple od years now. I have named him Nacho because of the notch in his right ear. I met up with Nacho one hour into opening day of muzzle loader, it was raining, he came out 25 yards in front of me, could it be this easy? I aimed, pulled the trigger and all I heard was click . Misfire! I guess my percussion cap got wet. I will continue to persue him. Thanks to Cuddeback, I can keep an eye out for him.
