This flying squirrel was our first to be seen on our game camera. Right in the middle of the Missouri deer season, it was a surprise to see this one.

The buck on the left was killed on 11/26/11.. He was 9 1/2 years old and lived on public hunting land. I know his age thanks to Cuddeback because I have pics of him since he was 3 1/2.. Very smart buck until 2 weeks ago.. This pic was taken in 2009 and 2010 was his biggest year.. He went down hill this year.

On October 22nd I was hunting in my home state of Massachusetts and had several does heading towards my stand around 7:00am. I had my camera set to take a picture every minute and had noticed it had just taken a photo of this doe but she still had not presented a good angle for a shot, the flash caused her to move up just a little more and I got ready to take a shot. AS you can see the camera caught the moment my arrow struck the deer causing her to rear up her back legs. The orange trail you see in the photo is from my lighted nock moving while the photo is being taken. I was so impressed with the photo that I have enlarged and framed it and placed it on my wall in my trophy room.

I checked the camera yesterday and this is what I was surprised to find. I asked the neighbors and no one has seen this buck. If I get a chance at him, I'll take a poke at him during late season with the bow.
