On August 3rd 2011 I was walking out to the field of Oats that had just been harvested on the East side of my Grandpa's property. As I walked up the trail at the bottom of the hill I saw a 10 point buck bound across the top of the hill into the East woods. I had a pretty good idea of where he went in so I followed the field edge and found a small opening in the brush. I figured if I would go there he porbably would too. So I followed the trail in and found that it opened up slightly. There was definated deer sign here. I found a medium size popple tree and aimed my camera at another tree for contrast knowing that the deer would walk in between them by looking at the sign. So I decided to set it and forget it and come back in a week. A week later I came back, pruned a couple other trails and shooting lanes and when I got home to check out my catch I was pleasently surprised to see what came through. Velvet never looked so good.

I wonder what the other party from this shot looked like? This is a buck that is clearly a dominate one in his own right. I have never seen a pic like this one so I thought I would share. this was taken in the Atchafalaya Basin this season.

It's getting twards the end of the Ohio deer season and being the first one to a bait pile can mean the difference between getting the kids a good meal for the day or the same old grass and twigs. Looks like these old gals are willing to fight for the last kernels in order to be the best mom for the day.

I have put out mineral blocks for the deer for about 10 years now. Post hunting season I make sure there is more than enough for them. The minerals do the job and the Cuddeback never misses a shot even in the bitter cold here. I have tested other cameras on the same post as the Cuddeback is on. It always out perfoms the compeditors. I found his sheds lying side by side. Roughly 28 inch inside spread. My Cuddeback lets me know when it is time to start searching. I will never purchase any other camera!

I have captured these bucks together numerous time over the past two years, and they have both grown into trophies. My son and I spend a large portion of time trying to get just a glimpse of either deer during daylight, but have been unsuccessful so far. These are great deer for NE Arkansas, and we would'nt know the existed if it wasn't for Cuddeback
