My game feeder tripod stays out year-round, even though the feeder is only on it maybe 3 months out of the year. This bear was pulling on the cable and playing with the winch for several minutes before moving on.

He is a 2 1/2 old and have been trying to keep tabs on him for the past couple years. Last year he was a 6 pt. He is fun to watch in the woods and hope to get more pictures of him as he gets bigger.

This area has been getting action from a lot of smaller buck. They cruise by and scrape up on the small branch in the foreground. I would really like to know the full story on the action caught in this photo. A buck jumping in front of this buck cruising through and a doe jumping in the back ground.

I first saw this buck in July of this year. I knew as soon as I saw him I wanted to kill him. I put a camera out and got several pictures of this buck up to the day I killed him. Our crossbow season in Kentucky started September 17th this year. We went in on the 16th of September and put up a ground blind where we thought I would have the best chance to harvest this buck. Thanks to Cuddeback Cuddelink I knew right where to set up without putting my scent down. I was able to move in for my hunt. Although the weather was warm, like clockwork he showed up the opening afternoon but only presented me with a shot head-on, only 10 yards away. It took all my patients to let him walk away without taking a shot that opening day. I returned to my ground blind under the cedar tree the following afternoon, Sunday September 18th. I was sitting in my blind wondering why I let him walk away the day before, and wondering if I would ever see him again. Fortunately for me he returned a short time later and presented me with a quartering shot, again at only 10 yards away. I settled the crosshairs on his chest and squeezed the trigger. My bolt flew true striking the buck just behind his shoulder and exiting the other side. He turned and ran, I lost sight of him after only a few yards. I'm normally a very calm person but I got that adrenaline dump and shakes after the shot that I normally don't I get. I contacted my husband on my phone and told him "I got him". As my husband and son arrived I found a Copperhead snake in the the direction my buck ran. My husband took care of that problem immediately. After a short tracking job with my 9 year old son Brice and my husband, we located my buck only 80 yards away from where I shot him. To say I was excited would be an understatement. I haven't killed a buck in approximately 15 years, and never anything close to one this big. This hunt was another reminder why I enjoy the outdoors. I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon and evening with my family, and my taxidermist! Picture was not taken by my Cuddeback but my buck was taken because of my Cuddeback. Notice I am wearing my Cuddeback hat!!
