I had deard rumor of a big buck the neighbor had been seeing so I moved my camera closer to the property edge on an intersecting game trail. It sat for a week before before I could get back to check it. When reviewing the pictures (36) of them I was suprised to see this enormous Bobcat. Not many sightings in SW WI. I did have a few deer, turkeys coyotes and coons but still waiting for that monster buck.

The nearby scrapes and rubs all indicated a large buck was in the area. I set this camera up 30 yards from my stand on Oct. 27th. I did not check it again until after the hunting season closed on Nov. 11. The neighbor took this big guy on opening morning!

We just got a cam to see what we had around here and this nice buck showed up. I was happy to see we have bucks around here...

Have over a dozen images of this 10 point on the property. Was fortuante enough to harvest him less than 20 yards from where this photo was taken. My best buck ever.

This is a new camera I received to replace an older version. I have never used the video feature so I wanted to try it. As you can see in the video this mature buck was frightened by the camera. Is there anything you can suggest I do so this doesn’t happen? I have removed the camera because this is not what I want around my hunting area.

These are interesting photos that are believed to be a result of a deer hit by a car according to the Wisconsin DNR. I recieved a photo of a buck that has a huge open wound on the left side of the deer behind the front shoulder. The wound seems to be infected as you can see the ring of swelling around the wound. I have photos of this buck and I have seen this buck since this occured. I find it very interesting to see what happens to a wounded animal after they are hit by a car and survive. We as humans are all aware of what happens to a deer when a mortality occurs but when a deer is struck and never found dead these series of photos are a small insight into what these animals are able to survive. It just proves that not every deer dies after being struck by a vehicle. Instead the deers antibodies kick in and fight infection allowing the wound to totally heal over. I am just surprised due to the size of the origional wound how this buck survived. Before, after, and wound healed photos.
