Living in the Northwoods, we often find sign of wolf and occasionally hear them howl, but it isn't too often that we capture them on the trail cam. So we were thrilled to see this nice healthy wolf.

We set the camera up on a trail about a mile from our home- and were surprised when we checked out the pics to see that the Moose couldn't quite figure out what the camera was about- seems he stared into it.

This Buck I got on my trail cam last fall. Immediately I gave him the name Scarface cause of the big scar on his nose. Not sure what caused his injury but this is the only time I got him on camera.

While browsing my photos, I happened to notice this tiny animal on the tree my camera was aimed at. I had to enlarge it to see what it was. A flying squirrel.

Another bear . There here , there , everywhere . Think I sent this one in before . They don't get as big and pretty as those Canadian bear , but that might be a good thing on the big part .

Is that a deer ? No , that's my dog's butt . There are about a dozen doe and their little ones that pretty much live in the yard . I took this other picture when I came home yesterday . Something had scattered turkey feathers everywhere right where the 2 dogs are and 3 deer walked out to watch so I grabbed the camera . Coyote maybe ? I am standing about 80 yds. from the deer . You can see my attack on one of those pine trees . We have 5 dogs that keep the coyotes and other critters off the deer so they usually bed in the yard . The dogs do not like bucks especially during the rut , so we put the dogs up when we hunt . Those of you who hunt over decoys have a better idea what it's like to hunt over live decoys . It has taken 5 years to train the dogs and the deer to be able to hunt like this . It all began with one doe that had been hit by a car and she has had twins every year since . Good luck to all you hunters this fall . Be safe and follow the rules , as Uncle Ted always say's .
