My wife and I recently purchased this property with the intentions to move closer to our children and grandchildren. It just so happened to have pretty good wildlife habitat. Hunting last fall, on the property, for the first time I harvested a nice 9 point whitetail with the aid of my cuddeback cameras and scouting. I also observed several turkeys on my many cuddeback pics from fall season. I have never hunted turkeys, due to the lack of turkeys in my home area, but I have always dreamed about it. The last turkey I observed on the property was the last Saturday of deer gun season. I thought over the winter they were never coming back. To my surprise these photos showed up the middle of March, at my winter feeder, and now I am making plans for my first turkey hunt! I am EXCITED!

This Badger didn't give a F%$@!! Even in January, he still needed a meal. Dug this rattler out of his hibernation to eat.

The deer lease is inundated with small Cotton Tails. This one didn't get away fast enough. The cat pranced across the camera, showing off it's prize catch

Here are some pictures that I got from this winter. I finally sat down and setup my cameras to use on guard duty. WOW! This is an amazing feature that I have never tried before, but will be use a lot more now. It really works good when there is snow on the ground. Here in Minnesota there has been a lot of complaining from deer hunters and DNR about the shortage of deer or lack of sightings during deer season. I personally believe that yes there is fewer than say 10 years ago, but going from the states all time high in deer population and now back to average, a person just might have to put a little more effort to meet there expectations. 10 years or so ago we had a lot milder winters so deer didn't have it so tough, but as you can see from the pics this heard looks rather large and healthy. In a 5 mile radius of this field there was 3 more herds of deer this size. very cool to see and now I have a picture to remember them! thanks.

This guy was on a walk about during the 2012 rut. He showed up once and once only. I about had a heart attack when I viewed these pictures and saw this big boy! Never saw him again nor heard about him. Hoping he is still out there & doing well.

I went to check my Cuddeback Attack IR and had this big fellow hangin out at my tree stand. I was wanting some good deer pictures but just got this good black bear. He was licking on one of my salt licks I had put out for the deer. He sat down to rest a minute and hung around for about 30 minutes!!!
