picture 1. After being the young buck in the group for the past few years, the big 5 year old in the middle is finally the mature buck in the bachelor group and they have really been on their feet with the weather being so mild in the midwest this week. picture 2. These two bucks are enjoying the cool morning and debating on going back for a little more of the freshly sprouted beens in the field behind him before going down for the day.

I just cleared out this scrub field down at my buddy's cabin and planted it as a food plot. The deer have been crushing all the new growth, but I was confused to find my camera tilted to the side when I went out to swap SD cards the one day. I thought it was just the wind and rain from some terrible storms the days before. Normally I would think it was a bear, but the last time we have seen a bear in the area has been years. So you can imagine how surprised we were when he showed up on the screen. Question is now is if he is just passing through or is going to set up camp in the area for the upcoming season. Excited to see what happens and I was just glad he decided to play nice with the camera.
