A variety of wildlife that's out there. An otter, red fox &bear. The young red fox peeking thru the grass is my favorite. The grass really grew up in front of the camera in a weeks time.At least everything is daytime photos.

I always set a mineral lick up each spring. My camera is on my mineral lick from April to September. I follow each stage of antler development.

Looks like this doe is telling the 1 1/2 year old buck that she was still in charge .

I was looking at some Cuddeback photos of bedded deer in the August issue of Deer & Deer Hunting and thought you all would enjoy seeing this interaction of a doe with a bedded buck. I had had a couple of encounters with a nice seven point buck during the 2014 archery season, but he never gave me a shot. I noticed some large buck tracks in the snow near my stand in mid-December. The tracks were headed up the hill toward my Cuddeback. I hoped I would have a good picture of whatever buck had made the prints. After my hunt, I went up the hill and saw many tracks in the snow by my camera. I had eighteen pictures of the seven-pointer with a doe. The buck had walked into view, then bedded down. It was the second rut -- the doe accompanying the buck would not let him rest. She put her best moves on him for over an hour until he got back to his feet. I had never realized how aggressive a doe's role in the breeding process could be.

Through the years my Cuddeback cameras have often captured black bears visiting the mineral lick on my property. The sows bring their cubs to learn of the mineral location & the boars check for sows there during the summer rut. Seeing multiple cubs with a sow has not been unusual, even triplets at various times. But imagine my surprise when this big girl showed up with 5 cubs in tow!

It was a particularly harsh winter in Sullivan County NY this year. Many deer did not survive the winter. Our pictures are of Adult eagles and immature eagles feeding off the deer.
