The Bucks are still hammering the Boss Buck Feeder. This is a cool picture from just at daybreak of 3 of them at each port and one waiting his turn. Looking forward to seeing what these guys look like in another month.

We have noticed a big decline in the deer population in Indiana. Through management practices and habitat work, we are hopeful that the population will rebound. This is a delightful picture to see...A healthy looking Momma with a little one in tow....

I am surveying in southern Arizona as part of my undergrad senior project. I chose cuddeback based on its trigger speed which leads to easy identification of all species, This cam has photographed black bear, coati, deer, montezumas quail, hog-nosed skunk, western spotted skunk, and more. In one photo of a fox, I noticed the fox appeared to be very pregnant and due any day. About 10 days later I checked my cam and a fox (or 2) every day was seen with various prey in its mouth. I assume the mom gave birth and is now getting help to eat, or gorging to produce the pups milk, I'm not really sure. Anyway, that is the first time foxs walked by the cam with prey in their mouths. My favorite is a fox that has a black-tailed rattlesnake in its mouth!

Cuddeback Surprise Picture of the week Unfortunately my freezer died and I had some spoiled steaks to dispose of. So I headed out with my trusty Cuddeback to a small remote patch of evergreens secluded in the middle of my crop land. I thought what a great spot to find out what kind of critters are lurking around on my property? I assumed the normal...Coyotes, Skunks, crows ,turkey vultures etc. Much to my surprise when I returned in a week to check on my cuddeback and retrieve the sd disk. Wow A Bold Eagle! No Way! How cool is that! That Bold Eagle was the only Critter on the disc. I still am amazed when I look at it. It didn't take him long to clean up the spoils I had left out! as you can see in the picture, He's got ahold of a 2 pound steak as he's lifting off. That's my Cuddeback Surprise picture of the week!
