This is my front yard wood duck box located on Old Hickory Lake, TN. There is no electrical supply close enough to install a constant monitor camera so I use my CB to date/time the twice daily flights by the hen to/from the box to feed, usually with the drake. Then I can compute when the eggs will hatch (all on the same day and the chicks fledge the following day). Inserting an iPhone into the box opening to photo events frightens the hens which usually flush away instantly, so I prefer my CB dating instead. The CB is mounted on a tree about 4 feet away. Here, after the hen and drake feed in the morning, they return to the box, the drake stands guard for a short time, then he is away until the evening (this occurs twice a day for the avg. 30 incubation days).

I've gotten several pictures of black bears over the years but never one like this. Our long stretch of 100 degree heat has likely forced the bear to rub his coat all the way to his skin.

early foggy morning in boston, new York. on my property which is managed for wildlife under qdma guidelines and in cooperation with the nys dec. property has 8000 trees planted for mast, cover along with 5+ acres of food plots. this foggy morning happened to capture an immature spike buck breeding a doe on a june morning which really has me scratching my head ??

This nice big buck was never seen in the daylight hours and was not bagged as far as I know. He certainly is impressive and I think he is probably an older deer.
