Here it is, the rut in full throttle!! I've had 3 encounters with this buck this past week, never able to get him to come any closer than the 60-70 yrs range. Low and behold as soon as I walk out of stand he comes strolling in nice and close!! Worst part is I've passed up some real nice 3 1/2 yr bucks waiting for this particular buck or the devil 9.. gotta love the hunt!!

By the time this is up on the website, gun season will officially be open here in MN. This giant buck hasn't given me any daylight opportunities yet , but still a solid week of hunting him before gun opener. Devil 9!!

The devil 9 is the top shooter on the farm this year hes been on the list for 3 years now seeing him every year just never close enough for a shot. Waiting for him to make a mistake.
